Chernobyl Children's Lifeline - Mid Surrey Link

Following the accident in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station in April 1986, most of the country of Belarus is contaminated with radioactive elements.

The CCLL Mid Surrey Link is part of a national charity called the "Chernobyl Children's Life Line". We bring groups of children from Belarus to the Ashtead/Epsom/Leatherhead area in Surrey, providing them with a four-week respite from the after-effects of that accident. This website shows you what we have done with groups of children in previous years and explains how you could help. Since the inception of the CCLL Mid Surrey Link we have hosted a total of 138 children in eight summer visits and four Christmas visits. Additionally, some of our hosts have invited children back for private repeat visits at other times of year.

We are now planning for our 2010 visit...
