Following the accident in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station in April 1986, most of the country of Belarus remains contaminated with radioactive elements.

The CCLL Mid Surrey Link is part of a national charity called the "Chernobyl Children's Life Line". We bring groups of children from Belarus to the Ashtead/Epsom/Leatherhead area in Surrey, providing them with a four-week respite from the after-effects of that accident. Since the inception of the CCLL Mid Surrey Link we have hosted a total of 150 children in nine summer visits and four Christmas visits.

Our visit this summer provides twelve children with an opportunity to build up their immune systems by spending 4 weeks eating uncontaminated food in an environment free from radiation. Would you like to find out how you can help? Or Contact Us right now!
